Current Giving Needs

As we approach the end of 2024 we are so grateful for all of the opportunities that we have had to share the love of Jesus and for each of you who came along side the ministry to support our mission that "Through the arts we will worship God, love people, share the Gospel, and make disciples of Jesus everywhere we go!"

As we look at closing out 2024 and entering into the next year of ministry we have some ongoing and specific ministry needs. Please prayerfully consider supporting the Gospel work of Paradosi with a gift that is meaningful to you.

Thank you for your support!

General Ministry Needs

Paradosi Ballet Company is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit ministry. As a faith-based organization, Paradosi relies upon God working in the hearts of individuals to provide for the needs of the ministry.  Your gifts help to ensure that we can continue heading out to proclaim the hope, love, and beauty of Jesus to the world through the arts!

Each program where we share has expenses associated with the event.  These expenses not only include the direct costs of fuel, food, dance-clothing, and other incidentals but the ongoing expenses of rent, utilities, maintenance, and insurance for our studio.

At some programs, such as churches, we may receive a love offering from the sponsor that helps to cover some of our overhead but at many programs we often do not receive any honorariums.  Many assisted living facilities, rehab centers, homeless shelters, and schools do not have budgets for bringing in groups like ours.  We do not want resources to be a hinderance to our sharing with a community and your gifts help to ensure that when we are asked to share, we can go!

Thank you for prayerfully considering supporting the Gospel work of Paradosi through a gift that is meaningful to you. We cannot do what we are called to do for the Kingdom without your help.

“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.” Matthew 9:37-38

Local Outreach

Each season, Paradosi shares times of worship and fellowship at care centers, retirement homes, rehab facilities, homeless shelters, schools, and other locations that cannot provide us with an honorarium.  We do not want resources to be a hinderance to any organization that wants us to share with the people in their care so if we are asked, we make every effort to go!

Each of these outreach opportunities has direct expenses for us to share including fuel, dance shoes, dance clothing, Bibles,  rolls of gaff tape, and snacks for our dancers.  The cost of most of these programs fall between $50 - $300 based on the needs of the event.

Please prayerfully consider supporting our local outreach efforts so that we can share the love, hope, and beauty of Jesus in these communities!

James 1:27

Global Outreach

"Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? and who will go for us?" and I said, "Here I am. Send me!" Isaiah 6:8

Since 2010 Paradosi has shared the love of Jesus during international outreach tours. When overseas it is our goal to come along side local churches, missionaries, and ministries to partner with them in the Gospel work that they are doing in their communities.  Often these outreach events occur during major arts festivals where what we do helps to create a draw that gives opportunities for life giving and life changing Gospel focused conversations and prayer to occur.

The greatest expense for us to go is the airfare. When we are on the ground we stay with locals, in churches, and group housing which helps to keep our expenses low with the added benefit of helping us to build close relationships with the local body of Christ.

In order for us to go during the summer, we need to have the bulk of the funds raised by the end of February to purchase airfare and train tickets before prices increase.

Please prayerfully consider supporting the Gospel work of Paradosi through a gift to our Missions Fund.

Matthew 28:18-20

Surrendered School of Dance Scholarship Fund

Ongoing Need

Surrendered School of Dance (SSD), is the dance school of Paradosi Ballet Company.  We are one organization with one mission.  Our school was founded in 2009 with the goal of providing high-quality dance education in a Christ honoring environment.

As a dance school, we are different from other studios in that we go against the mainstream norm of the dance world by utilizing family friendly music, promoting modesty, self-worth, and inclusivity in a non-competitive yet professional atmosphere.

While we are a faith-based organization, our dance school is open to all in the community regardless of their beliefs and serves as a local outreach for our ministry.

We want to bless as many children as possible in the communities where we teach and do not want financial resources to be a hinderance to any child who wants to take dance classes with us.  With this in mind, we currently offer needs-based financial aid, military tuition assistance, and financial assistance to children in the foster care system through Olive Crest.  This financial aid is often offered with there being no resources in the scholarship fund to offset the financial aid that we are giving.

We are looking for partners who want to come along side us in blessing the next generation for Jesus through dance.

"Start children off in the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it." Proverbs 22:6

Shoes & Costuming

Ongoing Need

There are many items in our wardrobe that we can use year after year without needing to replace; however, there are other dance items that need to be replaced every year and often several times per year.

Each dancer in the ministry will go through a minimum of 6-8 pairs of ballet flat shoes and 2-3 pairs of pointe shoes per season.  The average cost for articles of dance wear, shoes, and costumes that the ministry provides varies between $300 to $600 per dancer each season.

Typical Expenses

  • Ballet Flat Shoes: $20 - $30 / pair (Last 1 - 7 programs)
  • Pointe Shoes: $90 - $150 / pair (Last 2 - 5 programs)
  • Biker Shorts: $20 / pair (2-3 pair per dancer per season)
  • Undergarment Leotards: $25 each (2-3 per dancer per season)
  • Tights: $15 each (as needed)
  • Costuming: Each complete program costume (skirt and leotard) or (dress) costs between $65 - $125 to make. These costumes last for multiple seasons but we need to have them custom made for each new dancer in the ministry.

Please prayerfully consider supporting Paradosi's ongoing shoe and costuming needs.

Motorhome Fund

North America Outreach Tours

We have been praying about a motorhome for the ministry for several years and we are now pursuing this goal!

We want to go to where the people are and to the places where a ministry like ours may never otherwise have an opportunity to share the hope of Jesus through the arts.

A motorhome will serve as our base of operations while on the road opening up more of the country to us while reducing our travel time, meal expenses, and housing expenses.

Thank you for your prayerfully considering supporting this goal as we prepare for this next chapter in the life of the ministry!

____________

DONATE  A  MOTORHOME (Gift-In-Kind)

If you have a motorhome that you would like to donate to the ministry, we would love to put it to work!  As Paradosi is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we can provide you with a tax-receipt for the fair market value of the vehicle!

Ideally we are looking for a Class C motorhome with a cab-over sleeping area and a rear bed or bedroom that can be modified to accommodate bunks.  We are open to receiving other models in good operating condition and vehicles that can be flat towed behind an RV.

SPONSOR OPPORTUNITIES

Do you own or manage a business and have similar values as ours?  If you are a business owner or manager and are interested in sponsoring the purchase of a motorhome for Paradosi, we are open to talking about possible sponsorship advertising opportunities.  Please contact us today to discuss your proposal.

We have set a goal of $35,000 to purchase a used motorhome that can be retrofitted with sleeping bunks. Gifts donated in this fund are being held in a savings account until we reach our goal.
