Mikayla started dancing in 2002 at Joy of Dance School of the Arts in Battle Ground, Washington.  Through the schools focus on worship, Mikayla learned to love the Lord through dance and through the discipleship from her instructors. Through outreach events with Joy of Dance, Mikayla had the opportunity to apply her training to ministry for the first time.  Dancing in various settings around the community quickly became a passion fueled by the Lords calling on her life. 

After high school Mikayla wanted to continue pursuing dance in ministry and in 2020 she was accepted into Paradosi's Apprentice Program where she trained for the next two-years.

In 2022 Mikayla was given an opportunity to train and minister with Ballet Magnificat Brazil in Curitiba, Brazil for a year. After her time with Ballet Magnificat Brazil she returned to the US and danced for a season with Anastasis Ballet Company in California. In 2024 Mikayla was feeling called back to Washington and she was offered a position to rejoin Paradosi for the 2024/2025 season. 

Mikayla's desire is to introduce audiences to Jesus through the medium of dance and to create space for God to move in the hearts of those watching. She has seen the Lord move powerfully through dance ministry in the past and is honored to continue seeing how the Lord moves as she dances with Paradosi again!
